Tabs for paper-space layouts
AcceliCAD supports tabs at the bottom of the drawing area for quickly switching between different layouts.

Entity Properties Toolbar
AcceliCAD includes an entity properties toolbar for changing the current layer, color, linetype, or lineweight. It also allows you to quickly change the properties of existing entities.

Entity Lineweight Support
AcceliCAD allows you to assign a line width to each entity that will display on-screen and when you plot.

Birds-eye Aerial View
The aerial viewer is a floating resizable window that allows you to see your entire drawing even when you are zoomed in to a tiny area. It also lets you zoom and pan in real-time, plus it contains an auto-hide feature that keeps it out of the way when you don't need it.

Xref Manager
AcceliCAD includes an Xref Manager to manage external references.

User Profiles Manager
AcceliCAD includes a User Profiles Manager to handle setup for different users or different projects. It allows you to have different menu or toolbar configurations for different situations.

Block Manager and Bonus Toolkit
The Block Navigator is a modeless resizable interface for organizing and accessing blocks. Select Plan, Front, Side, or 3D blocks. The Bonus Toolkit provides a wide range of programmed functions to simplify and speed everyday drafting tasks.

Fly-over snapping
Fly-over snapping is a visual aid to help you see and use entity snaps more efficiently. When the Fly-over snapping option is set, AcceliCAD will display a colored marker at matching entity snap points as you move the crosshairs around the drawing.

Photorealistic 3-D rendering
AcceliCAD let you easily create 3-D designs using the 3-D drawing tools. You can display hidden-line, shaded, or fully rendered versions of your 3D models or your existing 3D libraries with a click of a button. You can choose professional-quality, preset options for lighting, surface materials, and backgrounds. With AcceliCAD's sophisticated raytracing capabilities, you can produce photorealistic 3-D renderings.

Quick Render OpenGL rendering
AcceliCAD includes fast OpenGL rendering that lets you attach materials and create light sources. More importantly, it can render fast enough that you can do virtual fly-bys, walk through your model, or rotate the model dynamically.

ActiveX support including in-place editing
AcceliCAD fully supports Microsoft ActiveX. You can edit embedded ActiveX objects - including Visio drawings, Microsoft Word documents and Microsoft Excel charts - contained in AcceliCAD drawings. You can also edit AcceliCAD drawings in-place from within any ActiveX-compatible program.

Drawing Explorer for managing layers, blocks, line types and more
With AcceliCAD's Drawing Explorer, you can browse the contents of your drawings as easily as you browse files in the Windows Explorer. Open multiple drawings in the Drawing Explorer and then view all of the layers, blocks, linetypes, styles, views, and user coordinate systems currently in use. You can even copy and paste elements between drawings, or switch to a thumbnail view to preview blocks. This means you can easily make use of existing designs and drawing setups.

Work with multiple open drawings (MDI)
AcceliCAD fully supports the Multiple Document Interface (MDI). This means you can review two or more drawings at once, easily copy objects from one drawing to another and copy elements, such as layers, linetypes, and text styles, from one drawing to another using the Drawing Explorer. Load and edit drawings that appear as xref (externally referenced) drawings. With MDI support, you can set up your work environment more efficiently by opening multiple drawings simultaneously in a single drawing session.

Real Time Pan & Zoom
AcceliCAD allows users to work with their drawings using real time Pan and Zoom. This feature makes viewing and navigating around your .DWG drawing files easier and more productive.

With AcceliCAD, you can modify the properties of more than one entity at a time. For example, use AcceliCAD's "Entprop" command to select all entities on a particular layer, then use the Layer text box to move those entities to another layer. You could also change all the entities in one color to another color.

Script recorder
Like a macro in Word, a script mimics what you type, including command names, options and coordinates. AcceliCAD fully supports scripting. In fact, it reads and writes the same script files (.SCR) that work in AutoCAD. AcceliCAD, however, provides several scripting enhancements that vastly improve your productivity:

• Automatic launch: Double-click an SCR script file in Windows Explorer and you'll open AcceliCAD and run the script instantly.
• Script recorder: Use the script recorder to automatically capture your keystrokes and mouse actions including menu picks, toolbar button selections, and screen picks. To review the script, simply play it back.
• Script append: Use this feature to add new scripts to existing ones.
• Enhanced scripting commands: AcceliCAD's commands include Recscript, which begins the recording, and Stopscript, which stops any script that's running.

Unlimited undo/redo
Go ahead and try out all your drawing ideas. AcceliCAD lets you "Undo" and "Redo" an unlimited number of editing actions.

COM object model for access through Visual Basic and C++
AcceliCAD includes an AutoCAD-like COM object model which can be accessed through Visual Basic or Visual C++ to create custom macros or functions to automate AcceliCAD.

VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)
AcceliCAD includes a full implementation of Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), a development environment that simplifies the creation and execution of Visual Basic applications.

Visual customization of menus and toolbars
Place the tools, commands, and shortcuts you need at your fingertips without resorting to programming. Simply drag and drop tools to create custom toolbars, or modify menus with a few clicks of your mouse. AcceliCAD also supports industry standard menus, fonts, scripts, and symbol libraries, so you can easily transfer your custom AutoCAD environment into AcceliCAD.
